Caption

Transmission electron microscope image of a thin section of Coleus Blumei shoot apex. Image shows longitudinal and cross sections of plasmadermata. The plasmadermata center is occupied by a desmotubule, which is continuous with the endoplasmic reticulum. The plasmadermata is part of the transport system between cells.
