fossil wood found in San Jose,CaliforniaI have discovered a large site in the hills,2 miles from the san jose city limits,of petrified wood.i have collected over five hundred pieces from just the surface but much more wood is buried everywhere on the site.Rock and mineral replacement.twigs, branches rounds and stumps.Lots of crystals, very drewsey.some pieces are honeycombed.i have what i think maybe a pine cone and another which might be some sort of nut.my back yard is full and am wondering who might be interested in seeing this site.please contact me at hugojungers@hotmail.comPosted 10/11/01 4:42 am By hugehole |
