Snickerdoodles


Ingredients:
2 3/4 cups sifted flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup shortening (soft)
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
2 eggs - unbeaten
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cinnimon

1. Mix all but the last 2 ingredients together.
2. Form dough into small balls (3/4 inches diam).
3. Mix last two ingredients in bowl and roll dough balls to coat.
4. Place on cookie sheet. Bake at 400º for 8 to 10 minutes. Adjust time to get desired level of crunch (or squish).
