Oatmeal macaroons

Oatmeal macaroons


Ingredients:
1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups oatmeal (quick cooking, uncooked)

1. Cream butter and sugar.
2. Add beaten eggs and vanilla.
3. Sift together dry ingredients, except oatmeal. Mix with first mixture.
4. Add oatmeal and mix.
5. Drop on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350º for 10 minutes. Leave on pan for 5 minutes to cool.
